THE JAN DORMAN AWARD

The Jan Dorman Award was created by the Polish Centre of ASSITEJ in January 1989. It is awarded to creators for outstanding achievements in the field of theatre for children and young people. This award contributes to a higher importance of the theatre for youth. The award for Polish laureats are funded by the Ministry of Culture. From 2005 on 15 excellent creators have been given this prize. The award for foreign creators is honorary -  up to now 18 creators have been awarded with this prize.
