Korczak 2009, the 13th edition of
our International Theatre Festival for Children and Young People, will be held
in Warsaw from September 28 to October 3, 2009.
The organizer of the Festival is the
Polish Centre of ASSITEJ.
This
year's Festival offers theatrical performances for the very young children (0-3
years), their parents and guardians, as well as for all who are interested in
this cutting-edge event that is ever more popular around the world. The
Festival also have new proposals for the oldest people in the audience. In
short, something for one and all!
The
theme and form of the performances are to create the basis for discussion into
matters of relevance to the young. These discussions, begun in the theaters,
will be continued on an internet forum. During our Festival the best
professional theaters from Poland and the world (Europe - Portugal, Italy, Asia
- Iran, America - Canada) will put on spectacles in the most various forms,
often in connection with one another
(e.g., live-stage theatre with opera, dance).
There
will also be the opportunity for a close-up encounter with the most fascinating
achievements in Polish children's theatre - along with theatre of the
handicapped. These encounters always provide extraordinary experiences and
importantly enrich and broaden young minds.
